Golfer practising in his back garden at dusk

Our story

We built the range we wanted at home.

YardRange started with a simple frustration: never enough time to get to the range, and nowhere decent to practise at home.

Empty driving range bays in the rain on a winter day

Why we started

The trade-off every golfer knows.

The driving range is a 30-minute drive, a queue for a bay and a bucket of balls that costs more every season. In winter it is dark by five, and half the sessions get rained off.

The alternative was a cheap net from a marketplace. It rips within a month, the frame bends, and you spend more time chasing balls round the garden than hitting them.

We wanted something in between: a net that takes a full driver, keeps the slices in and packs away before the rain arrives. That is what YardRange is built around.

A note from the founder

Practice time is family time.

I'm Raphaël. Like most golfers with a job and a family, my practice time kept shrinking while my handicap went the wrong way.

YardRange is the shop I wish I'd found back then: a short list of practice gear that works in a British garden or garage, sold by people who actually reply to your emails.
